Duna Spirit - Waterfront Budapest
The 32-hectare Duna Spirit project, offering human-scaled buildings and urban spaces, is situated along the Danube waterfront in a Southern gateway of Budapest.
Duna Spirit - Waterfront Budapest is a unique concept of a high-prestige complex development. This concept is to be realised through the creation of a new community, where people can live, work and relax. The project will be developed within an overall framework plan that is clearly committed to an agreed vision for the project and which is also aware of the necessity of competitive excellence in the context of 21st century lifestyle and knowledge economy requirements.
The development lies on the bank of the River Danube in the Southern part of Budapest, features an almost 1.5 km-long waterfront, on an area of more than 32 hectares, and is easily accessible from the city centre, the airport and the country’s major motorways.
The project will be realised between 2008-2015, in 3 phases, with a total completed built-in floor area in excess of 250,000 sq m. The development will incorporate a vibrant mixture of high-quality office buildings, residential and entertainment areas including an international conference centre, expansive green areas, community spaces, festival areas, riverside promenades, water sports facilities, a yacht port and watertaxi station.
