Budapest at MIPIM

2009.03.04. - RESource
Budapest will feature an exhibit at this year"s MIPIM on an area three times larger (nearly 150 sqm) than it has in previous years, with a more modern and sleek design. The Budapest Business Region real estate market group is representing nearly 20 members, with Studio Metropolitana (representing Budapest) and IDTH (representing Hungary) having both signed the cooperative agreement which states that they will lay down the rules for joint participation.

Encouraged by their positive experiences at the Munich Expo Real, the BBR-BudapestITDH booth will hold a large-scale press conference, organized in the cooperation with the MIPIM. Gordon Bajnai, Hungarian Minister of Development and Economics, is expected to make a speech for the event. As VIP sponsor, the Budapest region, will also have an exclusive opportunity to appear at the so-called "end-user" lunch, where the world"s most important companies such as Google, Microsoft, UPS, in addition to the United States Foreign Ministry, will be well represented. 1he primary message of their booth is to introduce the Budapest region, specifically emphasizing that Budapest and its vicinity remain an attractive target and may even come out the big winner, as opposed to the big loser, following the current crisis. According to the organizers, building a good image is vital for Budapest right now and the MIPIM will provide a special opportunity for that in 2009. As a result of Budapest"s special participation, the official magazine of the exhibition, which finds its way into the hands of nearly 20,000 top leaders this year, will feature an introductory article about Budapest, instead of Prague.
