The Budapest image movie is nominated for the Erasmus EuroMedia Prize

Four Hungarian artwork were nominated for the Erasmus EuroMedia Prize, including the Budapest image movie and the movie based on the TV show "Átok". At the ceremony in October the most significant productions showing the values and development of European society will be rewarded with the total of seven thousand Euros.
The EuroMedia award is an unusual gem among the prizes recognizing media productions. Its value is not coming from the outstanding amount of the prizes, but from criteria of the evaluation system. The key factor for judges in assessing the artwork is the extent they help European media communications. In addition to these, of course they take the quality of implementation into account, such as design, aesthetic characteristics, and the language used as an instrument of artistic tool as well.
Hungary has four candidates this year, including the production of two young Hungarian artists: the Budapest image movie created on behalf of Budapest Business Region and directed by Istvan Madarasz, as well as the movie called "Átok" directed by Gergely Fodor.
The BBR image movie received great feedback from audiences: it has over a million fans on YouTube only. The movie presents our country as the old-new home of innovation and creativity with references of great minds of Hungary like Janos Neumann, Anyos Jedlik, Albert Szent-Gyorgyi, Janos Irinyi or even Erno Rubik.
The movie "Átok" produced by Budapest Film Productions is a collection from the Festival Award-winning series. Our country is also represented by the nominations of the interactive photo gallery of '56 Institute and the prospective project of Kurt Lewin Foundation

The world of media recognises nominations for the prize as an achievement on its own. Contestants tested according to strict criteria and placed on the nomination list will be honored by a so called Seal of Approval that can be used in a form of a logo in future publications.
